    Tuesday Tales WINNER 28!

    Challenge #28

     By entering, every contestant agrees to shamelessly promote and praise the winner on twitter.

    For all discussions about this challenge use hash tag #TuesdayTales

    I am happy to have this week’s Tuesdaytales Judgemasters take over:

    @JenD_Author

    Aspiring Paranormal-Suspense author. She plays with ghosts and monsters, and likes it.
    & Host of #fridaypictureshow flashfiction challenge

    WINNER

    @JonathonVolkmer

    Jonathon Volkmer

    Dream on, but don’t expect them all to come true.

    Jonathon Volkmer, @JonathonVolkmer: I loved the Snow White vibe this story had. Like a true Grimm tale, I sense there was terror at the heart of this story. I kept coming back to it time and time again. Really great writing!

    TUESDAY TALE:

    Lust is a strange thing. Feeding and festering, simple passions can break all bonds of base desire to become something else, something alien. One never knows what will move a man to cupidity.

    Princes, too, are strange. In stories, they are handsome, wealthy, and relentless. By day, they hunt, and kill, and conquer. But what of a Prince’s nights?

    Love, they call it, at first sight.

    Hair as black as ebony offers a place to hide from night’s dreaming torments.

    Lips as red as blood warm the loins with thoughts of slaughtered foemen.

    Skin as white as snow, flawless complexion of a dead girl, offers what no living woman truly can.

    Surrender.

    “Bring her.”

    HONORABLE MENTIONS!

    Wakefield Mahon, @WakefieldMahon: This was really well crafted. I liked the way it was laid out simply, but the last line really rung home for me: “Sensing the folly within, she took her own life rather than burden the world, so she lost her life to lucidity.”
    David A. Ludwig, @DavidALudwig: I was immediately drawn in by this narrator, despite his ill-intent. This was a neatly drawn suspense tale all in 100 words. Well done!
    Charitygirlblog, @CharityGirlBlog: This was really well done. She has three well defined characters, a scene that is at once tense and humorous, and great dialog to boot!

    Everyone spread the word of the @JonathonVolkmer and JenD_Author for her awesome judgemastery!

    I would also like to invite our winner Jonathon to be a judge for next Tuesdaytales on February 21st , please let me know if your available 🙂

    Muchas gracias! Thanks for the props, and the opportunity to write that little story. I couldn’t have done it without the fantastic combination of word and image provided me.

    Also, I would love to be next week’s judge. Just let me know what I need to do.
