    So, This winner was assuredly delayed…

    And Due to this delay, A replacement judge was chosen to bate your appetites and serve as stand in judgemaster

    Tuesday Tales Winner of the second Challenge judged By the awesome sauce:

    THE POET

    @BryceDaniels58

    Bringer of  poetry and all things coco puffs

    Check em out at  http://brycedaniels.blogspot.com

    Per the words of our judgemaster: “I would go with Samantha12jane. I liked the voice, the ominous flavor, and the way it jolted me at the end.”

    Horripilation.

    The word came unbidden to her mind as her flesh started to crawl. She had learned the term years ago, in some class she’d taken, now long forgotten.

    The word fit the mood. Her skin felt like it was crawling. She shuddered as she tried to soothe the goosebumps away with her hands, rapidly rasping them up and down her arms as she stood back and tried to figure things out.

    She was too close for comfort. She couldn’t be the least bit objective here, not when the victim was so dear to her.

    Not when the victim was herself.

    @Samantha12Jane

    Take up your Badge and post forth your writerly prowess!

    All ye who know of her awesome sauce must go forth and spread the word in twitterverse as per the written agreement of joining Tuesdaytales… unashameably promote! MUWAHAHAHA!

    As for our honorable mentions chosen by yours truly.

    HONORABLE MENTIONS:

    Best use of the super secret word:

    Sudden horripilation overtook her whole body and she curled tightly to hang on to that last glorious sensation. By David Ludwig (@DavidALudwig) — This I have to say is my favorite sentence and the super secret word didn’t seem awkward at all to me.

    Play on words use of the picture:

    “That they were vasty ancient and manifested portals to other places was known.” by Jeffrey Hollar (@klingorengi) – the sculpture was a space portal… and I like the neatness that in the photo the space needle is viewed through the sculpture.

    Most interesting use of the picture:

    “It sat like a morose thing, gazing at infinity, the energy spilling from it like a dark sun.” by Bonnie Nadri (@blnadri) – Our previous Tuesday Tales champ has the sculpture being some sort of minion ready to kill for its master. The prose was creative and fun to read.

    Check out the rest of the lovely contestants the participated and of the above honorable mentions HERE.

    Thank you for participated and stay tuned for next weeks NEW CHALLENGE on Aug 23rd . Dun DUN DUN! [mysterious music ensues]

    *Bows* Thank you, thank you. This is pretty exciting for me! My first win! It’s a nice feeling. I’d like to thank the Academy…Oh, no, wait, I just stopped off to leave a better website to check out: I’m still so very confused by Tumblr, so Word Press has been a good home for me.
